Women’s tennis ends in Tuscaloosa

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – After the last day of competition, women’s tennis Ole Miss will end its time at the Roberta Alison Fall Classic.

The competing trio of Rebels wrapped up a singles and doubles match on the final day. Doubles duo Mize/Zadori took on Yelemanchili/Lavery of Tulane. The Rebels battled at the Golden Wave and emerged victorious (7-5).

veteran rebel, Kelsey Mize, led for Ole Miss in singles, earning a win over Tereza Dejnozkova of South Alabama. The senior, who went 1-1 in Friday’s singles matches, swept the Jaguar 6-1 in straight sets to wrap up her time in Tuscaloosa with a victory.

Reka Zadori faced Indiana’s Sabhyata Nihalani. The junior Rebel won the first set 6-4, but the Hoosier capitalized on the next two sets to win the match (4-6, 6-1, 10-3).

Ludmila Kareisová faced East Tennessee State’s Fernanda Carvajal but lost her final match 6-3 in straight sets.

Ole Miss is now turning to NC State’s fall invite to Cary, NC (November 4-6) to wrap up its 2022 fall season.
