Derby High School reviews new student attendance system | Derby News

A presentation on an alternative student attendance tracking system was presented to the Derby School Board at its October 10 meeting. Derby High School Vice-Principal Shane Seeley gave the presentation on adding Positive Attendance device technology into the high school’s current Skyward system.

The new positive attendance devices are unique to each classroom and move the process of keeping attendance records away from the teacher to an in-house automated system. Attendance is kept by each student scanning their student card or entering the identification number.
