DU Revises Program-Specific Eligibility for Bachelor’s Degrees in Mass Communication

Delhi University on Friday revised the program-specific eligibility for the BA (Hons) Multimedia and Mass Communication under the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), giving students the choice to select a subject among 27 listed. Previously, it was mandatory for the student opting for the Mass Communication course to take the Mass Media/Mass Communication exam.

“It is hereby notified that the program-specific eligibility criteria for BA (Hons.) Multimedia and Mass Communication have been changed to: any language from List A + any subject from List B1 or List B2 + Section III (general test),” the university said in a statement.

Previously it was any A-list language + mass media/mass communication + CUET SECTION III (general test) Section II of the section offers 27 subject areas which a candidate can take tests in up to six subjects. The DU has further divided this section into two parts – B1 and B2. B1 is a list of 18 topics that were already offered in DU before the introduction of CUET. B2 is a list of 9 new topics.
