Winter Storm Landon Cleveland Hopkins flight cancellations

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) – Northeast Ohio has been preparing all week for Winter Storm Landon – a storm that is affecting states from New Mexico to Maine.

According to FlightAware, which tracks flight delays and cancellations, 4,954 flights within the United States were canceled today. 2,183 flights were delayed.

At Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, flights from select airports including St. Louis, Chicago, New York and Newark have been canceled. Flights scheduled to arrive from most places after 8 p.m. were also canceled. Flights departing to St. Louis, Chicago and New York have been canceled.

Cancellations and delays continue Thursday, as many states won’t feel the full impact of the winter storm until later in the day.

Hopkins Airport tells FOX 8 it has de-icing supplies ready when the storm hits.
