The French multinational IT services and consultancy Atos has reportedly finalized the acquisition of Ipsotek, a leader in AI-based video analysis solutions.
This acquisition will allow Atos to strategically strengthen its leading position in Edge AI and Computer Vision by expanding its portfolio with key software and IP capabilities to present an exclusive offering to users across various industries.
Atos’ wide range of solutions, from infrastructure to professional AI / ML services, has enabled the company to become a major player in the Edge AI / ML space, especially Edge Vision. In fact, in 2020, Gartner, a global research and consultancy firm named Atos as Edge AI Tech Innovator, cited credible sources.
With the recent acquisition, Atos will continue to develop its expertise and novelty in this sector by including more than 50 expert professionals with key capabilities in AI-based video analytics solutions for mission-critical solutions.
